ORDERING GUIDELINE
Orders can be placed through our website and by email to mitigate any potential communication errors.
We pride ourselves on the speed of our service. Orders are processed the same day they are received unless specified as being out of stock or in a pre-order status. We cannot guarantee dispatch times in situations affected by circumstances beyond our control. Once the order has been processed, any changes will be treated as a new order.
International orders will need to be confirmed before the order is processed, payment is charged, and dispatch is made. The order will be held until the customer advises the final confirmation.
Due to the volatile nature of the essential oil market, price commitment is made on the placement of order only. We endeavour to ensure accurate pricing on both our catalogue & website. We will do our best to notify our customers of discrepancies due to changes in prices.
Whilst we do not impose minimum order quantities, ordering items in bulk can result in savings.
If any item is short delivered and has been charged for, Ancient Remedies will be more than happy to cover the cost of freight in resending the goods as soon as possible. Please note items are not backordered and need to be re-ordered at the time they become available.
PAYMENT METHOD
All orders must be paid for prior to shipping.
We accept Visa, MasterCard only. We also accept Direct Deposits. If you choose to pay via Direct Deposit you will be required to email your official Direct Deposit receipt so that your order can be dispatched promptly. Orders can be delayed if confirmation is not presented, as we will have to wait for funds to be cleared.

PRICING & TAXES
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars. Prices quoted in our website include GST.
GST is applied to all orders within Australia on taxable items including freight. We cannot waive GST unless required documentation is supplied for Australian orders. Ancient Remedies does not supply food grade raw materials and therefore cannot waive GST.
International orders may incur import duties and taxes applicable to the country of destination of shipment that Ancient Remedies cannot be responsible for.
International Customers will be solely responsible for all duties and taxes in the country of destination.
If you have questions about these duties and taxes, please contact your local customs office for advice prior to placing your order with Ancient Remedies.
For international clients utilising their own freight forwarders, please confirm with your forwarder that they can deliver the items to your destination country before placing your order with us.
Orders returned because the forwarder cannot deliver to the destination will incur a 20% restocking fee. In addition, the original freight charges will not be refunded and the cost of return freight will be the responsibility of the Customer.
Associated storage costs and penalties will also be the responsibility of the Customer.
All prices are quoted ex-works and do not include shipping & transportation costs. A Ancient Remedies representative will get in contact with you shortly after placing your order to advise the freight charges that apply to your order. Freight charges vary depending on the 3rd party courier and the volume and weight of your order. If you do not need confirmation, please type "DON'T NEED CONFIRMATION" in the comments field provided below.
CANCELLATIONS
Orders cancelled after 24 hours of the time of order placement will incur a 20% restocking fee.
Orders left on "Wait" status or unconfirmed beyond 7 days will be automatically deleted from our system save and except International Orders which will remain in the system for 14 days.
SHIPPING
Ancient Remedies will dispatch good via Australian Post, with freight cost stipulated by Australian Post fees. If you wish to use your own courier we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage once goods leave our warehouse. Please advise your national / international account number & Melbourne contact details of your courier in the "Special Instructions / Comments" sections with your order.
Freight calculation is based on weight, volume and destination as outlined by Australian Post. We are happy to provide freight quotes before processing payment if requested via email prior to the order being placed.
Ancient Remedies does not charge handling or packing fees unless special legal or specification documents are requested.
All orders must be checked & lodged within 7 days of receipt & any claims, errors, or discrepancies must be reported immediately.
International shipping may require legal documents for export purposes. Please check with your local shipping agent or customs agent. Goods being held, stored, or penalties incurred in processing International orders will be passed on to the buyer/importer before the order is dispatched.
Please note in circumstances where our selected shipping service is unavailable or experiencing delivery delays, Ancient Remedies may find it necessary to use an alternative method or courier of delivery to ship your order. Ancient Remedies will absorb any additional shipping charges in such cases. If your selected courier service is not available, it is your responsibility to find an alternative.
RETURNS, REFUNDS & REPLACEMENTS
Any discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order. Any discrepancies with your order will be logged in our system for quick reference so that we can better manage your account. No returns or exchange will be allowed after 7 days from receipt of your order.
Any problems reported after 7 days which are not the fault of Ancient Remedies will incur a 20% re-stocking fee. If a return or refund is necessary, this must fall within 2 months of the invoice date. Returns will not be accepted beyond 2 months.
It may be necessary for clients to return goods by Australia Post, in which case, reimbursement of return freight costs will be included in refund/credit (only if the error is on Ancient Remedies behalf). International returns can also be accepted for being faulty, damaged, or exchanged. Please ensure full tracking details (airway bill or tracking number) are provided in order to monitor the speed of the parcel being sent back.
If an error has been made by Ancient Remedies with regards to a written order, either invoicing or packing, we will gladly pay for return shipment. If customer requires urgent re-dispatch, it will be necessary to pay for goods at the time the re-order is lodged, which will then be credited/refunded when we receive the returned goods.
Errors made by clients when placing their order can be returned if reported within 7 days and products are unopened. This will incur the 20% restocking fee. This includes change of mind returns also. Goods must arrive in re-saleable condition. Return freight will be at customer's expense. 20% Restocking Fee covers costs of time and labour involved with returning goods to the warehouse.
Goods must be re-packed carefully for return and the package must include a letter identifying your invoice number, name, contact information as well as why the goods are being returned. Whether you require a credit or a replacement, it is extremely important to provide as much detail as possible about what you are returning so that the return can be processed accurately & promptly.
All goods/products must be unused when returned to Ancient Remedies in order to qualify for a credit or refund.
We do not accept cancellations and returns for change of mind on indent items.
Ancient Remedies shall not be liable for any errors or delays in the content, or for any actions taken in reliance thereon.
PRODUCT LIABILITY
The stability & nature of our products may be altered depending on storage conditions, or when used in combination with other ingredients which is beyond our control. Ancient Remedies cannot accept any liability in this regard.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER
All our skin care products are intended for topical use only. Prior to use: Customers should always refer to the ingredients list on the Ancient Remedies website product description and/or label as affixed to each product, which are current at the time of supply of the product before purchase. It is always recommended to conduct an allergy spot test on the inside of the wrist prior to use of the product, to assure they do not experience any adverse reactions. If in the rare occurrence a reaction is experienced, cease using the product and seek medical advice. Ancient Remedies shall not be responsible for any damages resulting from use of or reliance upon this information.
All health supplement products are intended to be used according to the daily dosage recommendations specified by the product manufacturer. Prior to use: Customers should always refer to the ingredient lists and daily dose instructions found on the Ancient Remedies website product description and/or label as affixed to each product, which are current at the time of supply of the product before purchase. It is always recommended to discuss the taking of health supplements with your general practitioner prior to use, especially when taking any pharmaceutical medication in conjunction. Ancient Remedies shall not be responsible for any damages resulting from use of or reliance upon this information.
All practitioner health supplements and prescribed herbal medicines prescribed by an Ancient Remedies Naturopath and Western Herbalist must be taken according to the health practitioner’s instructions. Failure to disclose a full medical history and current and/or past use(s) of pharmaceutical medications and/or health supplements may lead to diverse effects of the prescribed herbal medicines and is out of the control of Ancient Remedies. Ancient remedies expressly disclaims responsibility as to the suitability of the herbal medicines (including adverse reactions, damages, and/or injury), resulting from an undisclosed medical history by the client and/or customer and does not warrant any claims for compensation for adverse reactions, damages, and/or injuries incurred by the client/customer. Prior to use: Customers are advised to discuss any Ancient Remedies naturopathic and western herbal treatment plan with their general practitioner to assure full disclosure of a joined treatment protocol.

SHELF LIFE DISCLAIMER
Cosmetic ingredients generally do not come with a long shelf life, and this is recognised as standard industry practices. Despite from this, Ancient Remedies have a minimum shelf-life policy of 9 months (free samples 3 months) to ensure our valued customers will receive a reasonable shelf-life duration of the product at time of dispatch.
Health supplements and herbal medicines do not have a mandated minimum shelf life for health supplements. A minimum of two years and 12 months respectively is generally recommended according to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) from point of manufacturing. Despite from this, Ancient Remedies have a minimum shelf-life policy of 12 months (free samples 3 months) to ensure our valued customers will receive a reasonable shelf-life duration of the product at the time of dispatch.
In some circumstances we may be able to cater to specific shelf-life requests depends on the stock supply at the time, however these are not guaranteed. They should be requested from your account manager at the time of placing your order. The request will be confirmed in writing by your account manager. Furthermore, special request may lead to a delay in shipment as the order will be removed from our normal process and will be placed on hold if any materials does not meet with the client's request.
The product must be kept in it recommend storage conditions to achieve the listed shelf life of the product. Ancient Remedies is not liable on the reduced shelf life if the product is stored incorrectly.
